I love that I have a team of VA's available through Trusty Oak. Nitin Khanna has been a consistent, reliable resource for nearly 2 years. He handles my CRM, LinkedIn, etc... I've also had design work, web support, and specialty projects completed by TO's breadth of talent. Thank you, Nitin and the TO team!

Tessa at Trusty Oak is an absolute rockstar! She’s my right-hand, keeping me organized and managing my calendar with precision while protecting my time like a hawk. From handling side projects to doing research, she ensures everything runs smoothly so I can focus on what truly needs me. I couldn’t do it without her—highly recommend her and Trusty Oak!

Really appreciate how Trusty Oak has helped me as a solopreneur. Tatum has been super helpful. She has taken many of the admin tasks that bore me to death and allowed me to focus on the things that are most important to me, my clients and my prospects. Thanks Trusty Oak!

Find your own clients, make more money
Pros: Flexible schedule, remote work opportunities, non-degree requiring | Cons: Chaotic management, sub-par clientele, pay is non-competitive and no benefits for contracted virtual assistants. Management expects you to act like a dedicated employee even though you're working as a fractional contracted VA. If you're looking to build a solid client base, you're better off freelancing.

Not what it seems
Pros: Made some great connections with fellow VAs and a few clients. | Cons: They sell themselves as the top VA company with ample opportunities and resources. It’s not at all what they advertise. Their vetting process for clients is poor. They’ll basically accept any client without ensuring there is a viable need for support. If the client doesn’t actually need support, the VA is left without hours and tasks to do and the company puts the blame on them rather than their vetting. I worked with a few clients that had no need for a VA but the company brought them on anyway and wasted my time. They under pay their VAs. My clients were being charged $45 an hour and I made barely $20. No consistent flow of clients for VAs to get matched with. They charge a monthly platform fee and also require a high upfront investment when you sign on, promising clients, value and hours but they don’t deliver on any of those promises. I left feeling very frustrated and disappointed.

Jill Neuhaus at Trusty Oak has been a tremendous boost to my social media platform. She is clever, prompt, and so easy to work with. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Ok for supplemental income, tedious unpaid work
Pros: Good way to build up portfolio and network | Cons: Lots of unpaid admin, marketing, meetings, you name it, and excessive 'platform fees'

Easy place to work but pay isn't great
Pros: Easy to accrue experience doing a variety of VA tasks | Cons: No advancement, the company charges the clients twice as much as you make as a VA, and they sometimes don't get you enough clients
