A Truly Remarkable Place to Work – Felt Like Family Every Day
Pros: I had such a wonderful experience working with Back Office Betties. From the very beginning, they made me feel like family — something that’s rare to find in a workplace. The staff is not only professional but also genuinely kind, supportive, and uplifting. One of the biggest highlights of my time there was working with Lisa — hands down, the best supervisor I’ve ever had in my entire career. She led with both strength and compassion, always making sure we felt heard, respected, and motivated. The company culture is built on fairness, teamwork, and mutual respect, and you can feel the care that goes into every decision. I loved being part of such an empowering, women-led company that truly inspires and values its people. The incentives were fantastic, but more than that, it was the sense of purpose and unity that made it special. If you're looking for a company that believes in you, lifts you up, and treats you like more than just an employee, Back Office Betties is that place. | Cons: I have no cons for this company! I was very blessed with the opportunity.

Details matter, and the insinuation in the responsive post is inaccurate. This review is for those attorneys considering choosing this company. The appointed paralegal lacked essential prior experience, through no fault of their own. For example, when asked to take an affidavit and put it into proper form, that is place the name of the deponent at top and signature line for deponent, nothing more, the task was not completed properly principally because of the lack of experience. Then when requested to seek to change a motion hearing time as it conflicted with another, again not having prior experience, the individual did not know to call the Judge's clerk and instead was calling the clerk of the court to no avail. If the interests of your designated paralegals are truly paramount then it should start by making sure they have basic skills and experience.

Great Environment and Encouraging Team
Pros: Betties offers wonderful benefits for PTO, vacation, wellness days, and pet bereavement. There are many virtual team events for us. Everyone is very cordial and encourages teams to push and strive for more. There is compassion in the workplace for work-life balance while still maintaining the professional aspect of us being in a workplace. Very supportive environment. We are also kept updated on how the company is doing as a whole. Training and understanding of growth/ learning expectations are done with patience. Leadership is dedicated and on top of issues and questions. | Cons: Growth for pay opportunities is unclear. Training is a bit fast-paced and sometimes scenarios with legal terms may be a challenge to understand at first. Lots of camera meetings (while not necessarily the worst thing in the world it can be hard if you are not feeling motivated to smile on camera on difficult days)

Started great with VA services but quickly went downhill. 3 different assistants assigned in less than 6 months. We had one that was amazing but she switched positions and then left company. All needed training & did not have experience that was represented. Issues have been extremely disruptive to the practice and unreliable. Tried to resolve and nothing has been done to fix the issues

The Betties are kind and courteous to each and every caller. They provide individualized attention and respond to calls in a manner that does not give away that they are an answering service. I feel like each Bettie knows my business and is able to respond to callers in an informed manner. Highly recommend.

Amazing leaders but very high call volume
Pros: Amazing leaders. Great team. They truly care about helping you do a better job. You get to work from home. Some fun perks. | Cons: Very high call volume, low pay, you can hardly leave your chair, and need to handle calls in a very particular way and short time frame.

Being a receptionist for a law firm is not easy. The callers are typically dealing with something stressful in their lives, which is why they’re calling the law firm in the first place, and on the other end are lawyers… enough said. We’ve tried a few different services, and BOB is by far the most consistent, professional, and, while far from cheap, worth the price paid. The reception team all have the truly friendly and competent voices you want representing your business, and the company solicits and responds to feedback appropriately.

Absolutely Amazing People and Culture...with some issues...
Pros: The culture and people are top notch. Better than you can imagine and a complete pleasure to work with. | Cons: The margin of error is ...and I kid you NOT. 0.0025% for errors that will bring down your performance review. You are required to NEVER mistake a SINGLE letter, number, comma, period nor space WHILE pretending you are intimately familiar with over 200 different legal offices as though you work IN THEM when in fact, you do not. Major errors that will get you fired are at a .00042%. margine of error. How did I figure that out? You will take approximately 1200 calls a month and 7200 calls in a 6 month period. You are allowed 2 complaints a month of a minor nature and 3 complaints every 6 months of an ABA violation. That is a very serious issue indeed and understandable. BUT...the pay is $17.50 per hour for COMPUTER LIKE ACCURACY while juggling 200 + accounts including pretending to give directions as though you were in the office. FOR $17.50 an hr. Now...if it were $25-30 an hour...that would be great. But it's a very tall order for someone to be at a desk 8hrs a day with that kind of accuracy. Many are happy in the company and stay. It was not for me though.

I've worked with BOB for a few years, and they make the process super easy which lets me focus on other demands in running an efficient office. Our law firm has been using them for a few years now and we wouldn't entertain other options moreover because their communication is always on point! They are quick to answer questions and make fielding the calls really easy, we get our messages efficiently and they are always willing to make adjustments.
