Good onboarding, Bad offboarding

Pros: Good onboarding, they will take care of you since they need you. Competitive Salary. | Cons: Bad offboarding, since you're leaving, the processes seems to take longer than reasonable timeframe, clearance takes weeks to complete. Bad environment, you will drown with a lot of work and they will say it's because we're still new, they're not new, they're almost 5 years and processes should have already been established and standardized.

If you think BPO is tough, this one takes it to another level

Pros: Pros? Honestly none worth noting. | Cons: Compensation is significantly below market; workers receive only a small fraction (33%?) of what clients are billed. The business model appears focused almost entirely on profit rather than employee well-being. Leadership feels disconnected, with decisions that often make the work environment harder instead of better.

Not bad but can always be better

Too much bureaucracy

Pros: 1. Decent Renumeration 2. Provide work laptop (Though they rolled back the policy to buy out your Athena issued Macbook) | Cons: To much oversight, the training process was long and the time it took me to get matched to a client was nearing on 2 months!! Applied in October got matched to a client in late December. Mind you there is no pay that whole time. And you're not allowed to work elsewhere during that period. The amount of managerial oversight is too much. The admin tasks on top of your already demanding client are excessive forcing you to work outside the prescribed hours to complete. They oversell the Executive parnters to clients and blame you when a client leaves. Overall not a great experience.

Not good at all, stressful and exhausting

Pros: The company is large, and you know how these companies work from the inside. | Cons: - There are schedules, but they are not respected. - They ask for urgent things that make no sense. - There are many escalations for no reason; it seems like a way of threatening you, as if you weren't a professional.

Can do better

Pros: An avenue you can use to get other professional jobs and clients. | Cons: The clients currently pay $3,000 and the Executive Assistants/Partners only receive $519. The clients overwork their Executive Assistants/Partners and Athena does not care. Athena only cares about the client's $3,000, which they are now increasing to $4,000 come January 2026. The C-Suite, Operations Directors, Operations Managers and Administration pay themselves very high salaries and misuse the funds by always drinking every weekend, Five Star Hotel booking activities for themselves every quarter and After Party Events instead of taking care, compensating and paying their Executive Assistants/Partners well. The Managers are always putting down the Executive Partners and getting aware with it, they are never discipline. C-Suite always protects them while they fire the Executive Assistant/Partners. The Payroll cuts the Annual Leave Salary in half for any Executive Assistant/Partner that is on leave and is not matched to a client, yet they have earned the Annual Leaves which goes against any Labour Law in any country. The Management demands and forces their Executive Assistants/Partners to create IXP videos of the work they do if they want a promotion to Senior Executive Assistant/Partners and when rating the Scorecard. There is no growth for Executive Assistants/Partners in Athena.

Micromanagement/Overload

Pros: Company benefits - HMO - Flexible reimbursement - Midyear Bonus - Quarterly Team building | Cons: - Everyone is C-suite, disregard SOP and TAT do it now (bec we can't lose a client, everything is urgent) - Work Overload (8 working hours, but the tasks assigned requires a lot more) - If you have good review write in glass door, otherwise don't speak :( (They only encourage good reviews)

All good until they keep you waiting in the matching pool for more or less 2 months

Pros: The training is good. They provide in-depth training for their XPs. | Cons: Matching takes too long. Not saying this for everybody, but for most, if I'm not mistaken. Gives a Php5,000 allowance per week, but I would say it's not enough for those with numerous monthly bills. Also, it's so frustrating when they give you tasks just to keep you occupied while you're in the matching pool waiting for that YBC email. Demotivating at its best, after the post SR.
